Does The Grand Wailea Have A Fitness Center?

The Grand Wailea resort has a state-of-the-art fitness center, with 2,500 square feet of space, plus outdoor workout areas and beach yoga classes.

The fitness center is open 24 hours a day for guests and includes equipment from the likes of Peloton and Tonal.

At the Grand Wailea, the fitness center is operated alongside the resort’s Spa Grande, crafting an environment that’s focused on wellness and wellbeing.

The center is adaptable to guests needs, including bookable Wellness Pods that allow for private training.

And if you want to do something a bit different during your Maui stay, try morning beach yoga, or a private Lagree session.

Does The Grand Wailea Have A Peloton?

If you want to keep your home workouts going on your trip, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Grand Wailea is home to several Peloton bikes.

The resort also has Tonal and Technogym fitness equipment, available for guests to use.

Private Training At The Wellness Pod

The Grand Wailea is a busy resort, with plenty of prying eyes. So if you like your workouts to be a little more private, then you might feel compelled to just stick with stretches in your room.

But this doesn’t have to be the case.

The Grand Wailea has introduced Personal Wellness Pods, a private fitness center that guests can book for an individualized training space.

You can find all the state-of-the-art equipment ready and waiting for you to dive immediately into a personal training session.

And if you’re the kind of person that hates to deviate from your exercise plan, Tonal and Peloton equipment is on hand. It’ll be like you’ve never left home, except you’re only a four-minute walk from Wailea Beach!

Wellness Pods are available to rent from $45 per hour.

Fancy Something Different?

Shake up your workout by booking onto a personal Lagree session, hosted in the Wellness Pods at the Grand Wailea.

Lagree combines high-intensity effort with low-intensity movements, for a 40-minute workout session that pushes you to your limits without ever going too far.

You can also try your hand at the Lagree Fitness Megaformer, a cutting edge piece of fitness equipment that tightens and tones with the help of a changing resistance and tension.

A Lagree session is run by an expert Lagree Maui trainer, who can take you through the movements in your own personal wellness pod. The sessions should bring together core strength with cardio endurance, balance, and flexibility.

By the end of it you might need a (long) float in the Hibiscus pool, but these sessions are designed to leave you feeling revitalized.

A Personal Lagree Session can be purchased alongside the Wellness Pod rental fee.

What Is The Grand Wailea Fitness Center Like?

The Grand Wailea has been consistently reworking the fitness center, to ensure that it stays up to date with the latest fitness advances.

The 2,500 square foot fitness center is stacked with bikes, weights, treadmills, and an extensive variety of equipment, including the best from Peloton, Tonal, and Paramount.

The space is appealing, with a low-key welcome that allows you to get on with your workout in peace.

The décor is very Maui, with soothing pictures of surfers and prints covering the walls. However, it still very much feels like a gym.

You can get stuck into your workout without distraction, and the people using the center are focused on themselves.

Wellness consultants are on hand at the Grand Wailea, who can guide you through your workout and make sure you’re getting the most out of the fitness center.

These friendly staff are happy to give demonstrations of any equipment you don’t understand, but they’ll stand back when not needed.

Does The Grand Wailea Offer Group Fitness Classes?

Yes, the Grand Wailea offers multiple group fitness classes for guests to book onto.

Beach yoga and Group Cycle are among the most popular and run daily in various settings both around the resort and on Wailea Beach itself.

Fitness classes are best booked in advance to avoid missing out on a spot, but they are a regular occurrence

What If I Want To Get Outdoors?

Most of us have the opportunity to exercise indoors in our everyday life, so when you’re spending time on Maui, you may prefer an exercise program that’s a little more in touch with the surroundings.

Outdoor yoga is run every morning on Wailea Beach, and guests at the resort are all invited. This is a beginner’s yoga class, with a focus on energizing movements that won’t push the body too hard.

Anyone who wants a chance to get the body moving without excess stress should consider registering for the session.

Fitness classes are run throughout the day on the grounds of the Grand Wailea, including a popular spin class overlooking the ocean. Guests can also head along to the recreation courts, which have equipment for racquetball, basketball, and handball.

Wellness And Fitness Combined

“Wellness” is really a key word when it comes to the Grand Wailea fitness center. The focus is on strength and rejuvenation, rather than pushing yourself to your limits.

The overall atmosphere is welcoming, and the equipment is state-of-the-art, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a sweat on.

If you like to push yourself to do something different, the Lagree session will leave you feeling loose and energized. Or simply get stuck in on one of the Peloton bikes, and pick up where you left off at home.
